The Breakability of Models

I had a photoshoot with my friend and will use these photographs once I'm done photoshopping them into their anorexic twin.
I will print them, in a large format, and paint over them to emphasize certain sharp edges and make the body abstract. (To be posted once finished).

In Photoshop I had to clone the background wall to create an empty space where I then could space the edited thin model. I used the clone tool and liquified the model figure to change the body.

RUINS OF MODELS

For part of my MEGA studio project that involves Bulimia and the effect it has on the soul and heart of its victims, I'm going to take 4 close up fotographs (to be posted in the near future) of myself, covered in make up and seeming beautiful but fake.

ARNULF RAINER

Then I fill print them out and paint over them with different colours, making parts of the face seem destroyed and rotting while other parts are still fake beautiful and intact.
Mr. Morgan showed me this artist some time ago and I did some research on him, his fotos kind of inspired me for that projcet.

Veruschka Lehndorff

Veruschka Lehndorff completely fascinates me with the way she integrates herself into her artwork, almost making herself the piece of art. I might try this, using someone else to pose for me so I can paint the pattern on them. It's pretty craaaazyyyyy.

Fotography competition

On Tuesday I submitted some fotos to a German Youth Fotography Competition. The theme was women's football and I used my best friend as a model.
I didn't really like the pictures because we didn't have enough time to take them in a way that I wanted to take them. So I inversed them on Phtotoshop to give them a weird look of tension and strangeness and foreigness.
I have no idea if they will win anything but they gave me an idea for a new studio project.

I'm going to make a fotography based studio project with a series of fotographs in this effect of a person doing many everyday actions. These everyday actions will be fotographed in a composition that contains tension in some way, I don't know what exactly yet.
Then I'll put this inverse colour effect to estrange the normal pictures into something strange.
I might even paint them onto numerous small canvases that I'll hang up next to each other.
I'll have to see.

a new kind of TENSION

So far we've used one word for "filtering" our work.
Mine is TENSION.
However, the last project we have done had to be related to work and fotos we took in Paris.
I'm going to change that and focus on a different type of TENSION that doesn't have to do with the main architectural focus in Paris. I feel trapped because it's like a limited option.
